This concept seems particularly promising from a commercial point of view: some selected bioactive components of milk is already being used in pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements and "functional foods" [67,76,77]. In particular, we study the possible effects of individual components of food on mood, behavior and cognitive function, as well as physical activity. However, since most of the studies conducted on patients treated at the same time psihofarmpreparaty, then an evidence level of these works was often limited by methodological problems - how to draw a clear line between the nutritive effect and influence of drugs. In particular, the consumption of large quantities of carbohydrate intake increases in brain tryptophan and thereby increases serotonin levels, and consumption of food rich in proteins, by contrast, leads to its reduction (due to competition between amino acids as they pass through the blood-brain barrier).
