Psychological personality characteristics in patients with ulcer were studied using questionnaires: Test of character accentuation Leonhard-Shmisheka. Test the level of subjective control (UIC). We investigated 96 patients with peptic ulcer disease (76% men and 24% women) aged 16 to 52 years. We have identified four groups of patients, taking into account the duration of ulcer history: The first group comprised 23 men with newly diagnosed ulcer, the second - 25 people with the disease duration from 1 year to 4 years old, and a third - 26 people with a disease duration ranging from 4 to 10 years and the fourth group - 22 people with a disease duration of more than 10 years. The obtained data were processed using statistical methods and are presented in table number 1. From the table that such traits as hyperintimate, pedantry, pointedly, excitability, distimnost, tsiklotimnost in patients with peptic ulcer disease are relatively stable and their characteristics with increasing duration of ulcer history virtually unchanged. At the same time there is a clear manifestation of the dynamics of asthenic character.
