Reactive depression in patients with somatic

MU Drobizhev Nozogennye depression (ND) - one of the most common manifestations of mental pathology in patients with somatic suffering (a measure of the frequency of ND in the corresponding samples reaches 50 - 80% [AB Smulevich et al., 1997; H. Koenig et al., 1988; D. Evans et al., 1996]. However, the clinical significance of LP determined not only by high frequency of depressive disorders in patients with somatic illness (SZ). The fact that the manifestation of LP may be associated with reduced flow and outcome of the NW. In Several studies have shown that depression (regardless of their nosology) is not only worsen the prognosis NW (diabetes, cancer, etc.), but also increase the risk of death [D. Evans et al., 1996]. Thus, the mortality rate patients with bronchial asthma and coronary heart disease who suffer from depression at the same time, higher than that in the absence of such a comorbidity. Symptoms of depression occurred after acute myocardial infarction, regard as an equally significant predictor of the level of mortality in coronary heart disease, as well as the degree of circulatory failure (classified Killip) or history of myocardial infarction [D. Evans et al., 1996]. Possible causes are considered fatal consequences of comorbidity of depression and SP are widely discussed in recent literature [T. Shubin, VP Zaitsev, 1986; AL Syrkin, 1991; AB Smulevich, 1997; D. Evans et al., 1996, H. Koenig, et al., 1988]. The increase in the mortality rate in these cases are responsible for a high risk of suicide in patients with depressive states. Increased mortality in comorbidity of depression and SP associated with the distorting influence of depression on subjective perception of the NW (the inner picture of the disease - the WKB - R. Alexander Luria [1988]). In this case, depression is estimated as one of the factors contributing to the formation of gipernozognozicheskoy WKB. The latter is characterized by exaggerated the significance of somatic distress, perceived as a disaster that causes anxiety, fear, painful feeling of helplessness.
